Fund leaders are expecting deals to become more active in the second half of the year; surprise deals may come from Lithuania and Poland.
„Totally surprising interest is our experience from Lithuania and Poland,“ said Redgate Capital’s Senior Partner Aare Tammemäe at the RoschierRaidla annual conference, which focuses on mergers and acquisitions. He said that at the moment a large Lithuanian company has shown great interest in buying up an Estonian food manufacturing company.
Aare Tammemäe also stated that the second half of the year will be a more active period for deal making. „The Lithuanian and Polish markets are bigger and they have more financial resources. Scandinavian interest in Estonia is also rising,“ said Tammemäe. „Foreign countries are interested in both mergers and acquisitions.“
