Aare Tammemäe: national capital operation’s grade is 2+ (Äripäev)

14 Nov 2013

On a scale of 1 to 5, national capital could be graded 2+, as it stands idle despite the biggest capital accumulation in Estonian history, said the Senior Partner of Redgate Capital Mr. Aare Tammemäe, who will perform at the investment forum „The Awakening of National Capital“ on 28th of November.

According to Tammemäe, idle capital should be used more in the business. „When Estonia gained independence, the main goal of the economic policy was to engage know-how and money through external  capital, while today we can build smart companies based on our own national capital that could also succeed globally,“ commented Tammemäe in an interview to Äripäev. „It is not normal that there is only one way of engaging the capital from the domestic market,“ added Tammemäe.

Äripäev will organise an investment forum „The Awakening of National Capital“ on 28th of November in Tallinn, Rosen tower. Entrepreneurs and transaction mediators will speak at the forum about the mission of national capital and the acquisitions of Estonian companies in Estonia and abroad. Aare Tammemäe will make an overview about national capital’s vitality in the light of recent transactions.

In the last few years the following forum speakers have purchased companies or their shares from external-owners: Aivo Rosenber, the CEO of roof works company Toode AS; Kristjan Rahu, the owner of Utilitas; Armin Kõomägi, shareholder of MyInvest Estonia; Ivar Paplavskis, the owner of Aeroc Jämera, and Priit Vaikmaa, the owner of the British mobile marketing company TextMagic.

An overview of the pension-related law changes that are currently being prepared by the Ministry of Finance, will be also presented at the forum as well as an overview of the money sources that can increase the equity of the company without taking a bank loan.
